What Do Vaginas and Wine Have in Common?

The lack of open conversations about the vagina makes for a seemingly endless list of facts about it that most people do not know. In honor of changing that, we’ve compiled a few fun facts about the vagina and vulva (yes, they’re two different things) that could make for some great conversation starters.

Fact #1: Did you guys know that the pH of the vagina is very similar to the pH of wine? The pH of wine is between 3 and 4 and the pH of the vagina is between 3.4 and 4.8. That’s what’s perfect about our pH Balancing Cleanser - it has a pH of 4.2 and maintains the good bacteria during cleansing.

Fact #2: We often get the vagina and the vulva confused. The vagina is the internal genitalia: it is about 3-6 centimeters long and ends with the cervix, which is the opening to the uterus. The vulva is the external female genitalia, which includes the mons pubis (which is where your pubic hair is), the clitoral hood, the clitoris, the labia majora, and the labia minora.

Fact 3: You know how guys talk about how sensitive their penis is because it has 4,000 nerve endings? The hard to find clitoris actually has 8,000 nerve endings.

So there you have it. Go out and share the knowledge!
