    Overview

    We’re looking for an exceptionally organized, health-conscious, and creative thinker to take on the role of Director of Product Development. Love Wellness is known for its innovative, category-defining, and modern product offering and the Director of Product Development will act to support those qualifications when developing new offerings. This role is responsible for managing and driving the development process, from concept to launch across categories like OTC, ingestibles, and skincare.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead all phases of product development from formulation to new product innovation
    • Responsible for internal communication with cross-functional teams as it relates to briefs, formula feedback, copy and claims, artwork, and regulatory deliverables
    • Monitor and maintain on-time delivery of critical project milestones
    • Manage ongoing external partner relationships
    • Analyze competitive launches, scientific and industry developments for context and ideation on new product concepts
    • Work to optimize existing product offering
    • Review all batch submissions as needed, including on-site approvals when necessary
    • Responsible for lab briefs and communication with labs/chemists
    • Partner closely with Art Director to create a packaging experience that is true to Love Wellness that engages new and repeat customers
    • Partner with CX and Community teams to understand customer feedback and concerns
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product launches
    • Own and drive technical strategies from trademarking, risk analysis, formulations, to claims per company direction
    • Drive clinical claims and consumer testing during development process to support marketing
    • Establish usage instructions, FAQs, etc and create support training to CX and retail support
    • Support PR with behind the scenes materials surrounding launches

    Qualifications

    • College degree with 5+ years relevant work experience in holistic product development across multiple wellness categories
    • Experience and strong relationships with domestic suppliers
    • Passionate about wellness, and health from the inside out
    • Experience managing direct reports
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously through strong prioritization and planning
    • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up culture
    • Is a self-starter and can work independently
    • Ability to think strategically and tactically with great attention to detail
    • Domestic and some international travel required
